Go with Yaris
I am the proud owner of a 2008 Toyota Yaris sedan. It is a good basic car that is very reliable and easy to drive. It's a five speed and shifts easily. It has over drive and cruise control. It gets excellent gas mileage. I have had no major repairs in the time that I have owned it.

Small, great gas mileage, gets me places.
I like that this car is small but not too terribly small. Although it has a smaller engine it does has some pep on the highway. Even though it has a smaller gas tank, it makes up for it with the miles per gallon. It is definitely a good road trip vehicle requiring less stops for gas. or it being lightweight, it does become easier to tip with high winds. The odometer and gauges are in the middle of the car rather than directly in front of the drivers seat. The version Have is all manual windows, so less stress on the battery. The AUX port is in a awkward spot if you have large hands, which make it difficult. Has about four cup holders, two in the front and two in the back.
