Beautiful Box
I really live my 2008 Honda Element. I was lucky enough to find an SC model. This means it does not have the large plastic trim you see on most Elements. The SC also comes with nice wheels. It is classified as an SUV, but because of the design and stance, it has a more sporty look to it. In other words, it does not look like a lumbering beast on the road. The interior is durable, no leather trim here. The rear seats fold up and along the rear wall to give you a larger rear storage area. I use it to take my two full sized dogs to the vet and groomer. They can move around at ease. Gauges are very simple, no fancy electronics to worry about breaking. Shifter is up high so you know what gear you are in – and the hand break is just below. Everything is upfront for ease of use. It is small and nimble so it will fit into most any parking space with room to get out. Great for those spots labeled compact car only. The only drawback would be fuel mileage, but having said that, I average around 25 miles per gallon. It will go fast enough, I have had it at close to 90 on the flat interstate in Arizona.

A Sturdy, Fun Vehicle
I like the sturdiness of my Honda Element. It seems to perform well in the hot climate I live in. It has high safety ratings, and that's one of the reasons I bought it. It's easy to take care of, since the interior is plastic and can technically be hosed off if necessary. This is basically a small SUV, but I was able to purchase it at half the cost of a regular sized SUV. I'm able to haul a lot of equipment in my Element, and have even been able to fit a sofa in the back end with no problems. I like the stadium seating in the front of the vehicle-it's nice to be perched up high and have plenty of leg room. I've gotten a lot of compliments on how cute my car is for being an SUV. It's so spacious on the inside, yet it's compact enough that I can fit into even the smallest parking spots. I dislike how much it costs to fuel this vehicle, but that's pretty much my only major complaint. The interior is utilitarian and basic, but this lack of fanciness means it's easy to maintain. This is a fun car. I can throw my dog into it and not worry about anything getting ruined. I can even turn the seats into two beds and camp in the car. I like that it is multifunctional in this way. I can even take all the back seats out if I need more space.
