Cute, but cheaply built.
I had been driving a compact SUV and decided I wanted something smaller and sportier. My first impression of the Cobalt LT was that it was very cute. I love the sloped back end and the spoiler on the trunk. It was used but only had 95,000 miles on it, which wasn't bad for a 4 year old car. Five years later I am still driving it, but I have had one recall for the ignition component, and more recently it developed a leak in the fuel line that was very costly to repair, not to mention very dangerous to drive around with until I was able to fix it. My biggest contention though is that it's just very "cheaply" made as far as the interior (dash components, center console etc.). I am also very disappointed with the trunk access. The trunk itself is a pretty good size for such a small car, however the actual opening to the trunk is extremely small, preventing any mid to large size items from being loaded. Lastly, it is developing large amounts of rust along the bottom in the areas of the doors on both sides. Overall, it isn't the worst car I've ever owned, but it most definitely isn't built to the best quality.

A sentimental ride.
This car was my first car I owned. It has been very special to me in the time that I have owned it. The reason why it is so important to me is that the money from my late mother's settlement paid for the car. So to me it is like a last gift from my mother. Ever since I first drove it I have been really happy in it. The seats are very comfortable and the gas mileage is a nice feature.
