Used Cars for Sale in Corpus Christi, TX

The drivers are kind of crazy down here. They do not use their signals as they should, cutting into other lanes with just a sudden movement. They drive too fast and make cause for sudden stops and accidents. There are two expressways that are busy much of the time, making the Crosstown and SPID more dangerous to drive during rush hour, especially. Drive carefully yourself and watch for the other guy/gal.

Corpus Christi has most of the dealerships available and all on SPID (South Padre Island Drive). There are many used car dealerships interspersed as well. There are a few cars that are no longer represented in Corpus, one of which is the Volvo (which I drive). They were here but pulled out years ago. This area does not buy as many high-end cars as, say, San Antonio or Austin, so the dealerships are there but not here. We did just get an Infinity dealership here so maybe those will return. We do have Craig's list where cars are listed for sale.

Driving along the water's edge, I have been blessed to see a large flock of white pelicans flying together as they come to this area for the winter. When they come in, they are often in huge Vs with a hundred or more large birds. They will catch the wind and rotate in perfect unity far above the water. As they turn, the sun will catch them and they will be all white and almost invisible. Then they rotate all the way around and the black edges of their large wings make this huge twisting mass turn black and gray. It is a majestic entry into the city from far north.

Shoreline Drive/Ocean Blvd.. The road meanders along the Corpus Christi Bay on the East side and either downtown or large homes fence the West side of the road. Driving along, my eye usually focuses on the water's edge as I prefer the natural world to the manmade one. Seeing the beauty of the changing waters, the wind pushing the waves into whitecaps make the drive quite lovely. I also do like to see the wind surfers and kite boarders out there flying high above the water with their large kites or sails caught by the winds. The negative of this drive is that it comes to an end. Also, the water can be brown and murky rather than a beautiful blue or green when the winds are high, stirring up the bottom of the shallow bay.

The greatest tip when driving in the city is to make sure that you avoid rush our times. And taking a toll way really does not speed up driving in rush hour.

The best thing to know when looking for cars in a city is that there are hundreds of options, so compare prices and look around. Never take the first car you see. My best place to look for cars is craigslist in my opinion. You get dealers and you also, get privately sold cars. Private cars are usually the cheapest deals.

I find driving in the city with my family to be my best memory. When we hop in the car and just go is the best. We may be able to save by car pooling but it does not give you the feeling of driving without a destination. Threw the streets of Houston the people and the culture are amazing. It is so diverse in Houston.

Theater District route. The theater district is my favorite because of the sites to see while I am cruising. The doors open wide there with cultural diversity.
