Reliable and spacious
I like that it is all wheel drive because during the winter and wet months my car has no trouble getting in and out of my driveway. It is a bit loud at some times with the motor and muffler but then again it is 14 years old. It is a bit low so at certain times it can be hard to get in and out of if you have knee problems.

Worth the investment so far
My Subaru Legacy is the wagon model. When you get into the driver's seat, you can immediately feel the quality. It's very fun to drive, and I feel safe in all weather situations with All Wheel Drive. I like that it seems less rugged than the Subaru Outback but it is still has the room of a wagon. I think the interior is very stylish and all the compartments around the dashboard are useful. The car is so spacious. I don't have children, but I have dogs and we love to throw the back seat down and take the dogs on trips. So far, I have had limited maintenance costs - the most expensive being new tires. The acceleration is very peppy and it handles much better than any other vehicle I have driven. Braking is smooth and quick. I have no blind spots. I trust the Subaru brand very much and hope this car will have a high mileage life comparable to Toyota or Honda. I switch cars with my husband every few days and my Subaru legacy is my favorite. I have been approached by several people to sell it and haven't. I love this car and would miss it. This is the last year Subaru made the Legacy wagon and I am very satisfied that I was able to procure one.
