BMW 3 Series Seattle, WA OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Seattle, Washington
The best driving experience ever.
BMW is advertised as the ultimate driving machine. And I'd have to agree. I love how my car seems to grip the pavement as I drive. It doesn't feel to heavy, but at the same time, not too light. My car is an automatic transmission. Some car enthusiasts would claim to be this makes it less fun. I'd have to disagree. My car gets up to speed much fast than others in its class. It is rear wheel drive, which makes turning corners a blast. It looks sporty and feels sporty. Not to mention that it has a sport driving mode which allows you to shift gears lick a manual transmission. With all of the fun I have driving, I don't want to understand how comfortable and reliable it has been for me. I have the 4 door model which makes it easier to take my wife and kids for a ride. There is plenty of space for passengers in the front and back, granted in not that tall, I'm 5'6 155lbs. So I don't cramp whoever is sitting behind my seat. The gas mileage is great. And if you do the regular maintenance on your BMW, I'm sure you will love your BMW as much as I love mine. And for a long time. The only con that I can think of is the fact that any foreign car you buy will require foreign parts. This makes bows a little more expensive to maintain than domestic cars. But I take no issue with that. I'd much rather drive my car than a Toyota. (my wife drives a Camry).

Quality vehicle.
I've owned this car for about two years now. Its not the most powerful car, but is still great fun to drive. Mine is a 5 speed manual, and the gearbox feels great. The gear ratios are great as well. Interior is extremely comfortable, but lacks storage space. Trunk is average size, but includes a basic toolkit. The stability and traction control make the car very safe in heavy rain and light snow, and its easy to turn off when you want the extra power. I've modified the car as much as I can afford to since I've owned it. There's not a large aftermarket of performance parts for this car, especially if you're looking to add power. The car currently has around 150,000 miles. It burns quite a bit of oil, and has since I've owned it. More and more things are starting to go wrong with, but nothing major. I'm hoping I'll be driving this car past 200,000 miles, and after that I would be glad to own a newer model 3-series.

Not much, other than having the exact type of used car I was looking for. I found the salesperson I worked with to be a bit cold and not very personable. When it came time to negotiate the price I was fully prepared with KBB print outs, and my smartphone to show I knew what the car should be sold for, especially as I was paying in cash. I opened negotiations with my bottom line price and told them it was that or nothing. Of course, he came back with a higher price to which I stood firm on my original price. The salesperson tried to make me feel like I had less of a bargaining position since I was all cash, instead of them making money off me if I financed. In the end they agreed on my original price. Post-sale, I took the car to a BMW dealership and it was found to have a significant mechanical issue (broken arm of some sort). Not impressed with how Carter Subaru did not find this prior to sale or disclose any kind of issue when they had supposedly checked the car and found it to be fine.
