One of the best cars in BMW
The X3's performance is good by universal measures, but it doesn't stack up favorably compared to newer rivals. Its turbocharged six remains plenty powerful, but it belongs to an outgoing engine generation that isn't ideally matched to the transmission. The steering is the biggest letdown.

Well built piece of German engineering.
I purchased this vehicle after about a month of shopping around. The previous owner took very good care of the leather interior, but did not do great with preventative maintenance. There were a couple a problems under the hood that could have probably been avoided with better care. With that said, this sports activity vehicle has an M54 3.0L engine that is fast and boosts a nice fuel economy.
