One magnificent machine.
I do not dislike anything about it, except that the trunk is too small. The car is reliable. The only maintenance that had to be done on it is that which is recommended by the manufacturer. it is comfortable. it is luxurious. it is like being at home. I've got more compliments on this car than any other cars I've ever owned, and I've had many beautiful cars over the years. City driving is constantly 23 miles to a gallon. Has all the bells and whistles to make driving comfortable. I test drove foreign cars as well as other American luxury cars, and none of them impressed me as much as the Lacrosse did for the price. Many safety devices and technology that make driving a pleasure. I bought it new four years ago, and every time I get in it, it still feels like a new car. I'd strongly recommend the Buick to anyone who wants to get a luxury car at a reasonable price. it leaves nothing to be desired. And that's the truth. Test drive this car before you make your final decision, because I'm sure you'll stick with this one. Knowing how much my daughter knew I loved it, she went and bought her own a year later. She feels the same about her car, still after three years of ownership.

Great "Grandma" car!
My 71-year old mother's car of choice is a Buick and has been for many years. She's loved the stylish look of Buicks for decades, even those '60s models with fins! Her current model is aging and has 157,000 miles on it. However, it will be hard to convince her to part with it, unless the engine conks out, especially when she's out and about. These days, Mama only drives about 8,000 miles a year. This has extended the life of her 2005 Lacrosse. But it hasn't prevented a few small rust spots from appearing at the base of her chassis. She calls these "age spots" (like her own), and ignores them. I don't ignore the fact that this is an old vehicle now, although I agree that it's a pretty safe vehicle for her to drive. The Buick still has good acceleration and power, too, for a V-6 its age. She's been stranded once with a flat tire and locked herself out twice, but never stuck because her car wouldn't start or broke down on the road. My mother's generation, the Baby Boomers, tended to identify with a certain model or brand; she's no exception. She'll always prefer to drive Buick mid-size sedans for the safety and security this car gives her.
