Cobalt SS, Fun and Quick
I purchased a 2006 Cobalt SS in 2009. I got the car used with about 35,000 miles on it. At the time I was in college and it was perfect for me. It was standard, with 18 inch rims, a large spoiler, and a supercharged engine. I had a lot of fun in that car and for the most part it held up very well. I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for some cheap horse power. The car doesn't have awesome top end speed, but it gets off the line quite quick. It corners very well and has a very tight suspension. The trunk space is actually quite roomy for a compact car, and the SS model comes with racing seats by Ricaro, and also has a 7 speaker sound system that includes a 10 in subwoofer in the trunk. The SS model also comes with a sun roof/moon roof. The car was fun for a few years, but ultimately it became unreliable. The sunroof broke on me, and the throttle body eventually went. I had some minor electrical issues as well. Occasionally I had trouble with the door handle, and had to roll my window down to get out. This is a fun sporty car, but don't buy it thinking you will get 10 years out of it.

Basic but reliable car
This car has been great. It's the most basic model: manual transmission and no automatic locks or windows, but it has been very reliable and drives great even in the snow. It looks nice, too; it's a 2-door coupe with a spoiler on the back. The only thing I don't love is that it's hard to put our bike rack on the back because of the spoiler.
