Chevrolet Cruze Claxton, GA OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Pittsford, New York
Reliable, comfortable, no worries.
It's a nice car, very reliable and comfortable (and affordable). My previous car was a 2001, so many of my feelings may just be directed to this being a newer model. Runs smoothly, its stick shift (6 speed) works well. Very computerized; has XM Radio and OnStar; has a camera for reverse and remote entry. Gas mileage is pretty good. It's not really an "Eco" car despite the styling. Just a bit lighter (it doesn't carry a spare).
Not a bad looking car (I have a silver one). One problem is there are so many other silver Cruzes out there, it's hard to pick out in a parking lot. There's enough interior space to fit four comfortably. Four doors as well. I have had no difficulties with it at all. Nothing but oil changes and some other routine maintenance. I once had a flat tire and was disappointed to not find a spare tire in the trunk (I don't recall the dealer saying anything about that). Trunk space isn't great. Also, it's not quite as peppy as my previous car (Mercury Cougar). There's no way to open the trunk from the inside, which I guess is for security purposes, but is somewhat inconvenient.

Solid car choice for commuting students
To start with, the car's appearance: I love the external color and finish. The shimmer is classy without being glittery/over the top. The rims are basic, very clean though, and look nice with the car. Headlights are good, but not great in terms of sight, but the high beams perform exceptionally. Not a fan of how low the car sits - I will often scrape along even mildly steep driveways or parking spaces, and even as a young woman, I have trouble climbing out of the car. Performance has been great so far; I get really good MPG (about 30) between about half and half long-stretch highway driving and short city trips. The turbo engine does surge when sitting, and it feels like the car might stall, but so far, I have never had issues starting it, running for long periods of time, in 0 degree weather, etc. Interior is a little tight space-wise, and I cannot get over the master door lock being in the center console. However, the fabrics and faux leathers used on the interior feel and look very nice, and the air conditioning, heating, etc., are powerful and quick to activate. The sound quality is good but not great. I would like more bass.

They were very friendly and were very prompt with their service. They also seemed very well educated about every car and each model.
