Dependable and Easy to Work On Vehicle
I wanted a larger car than my previous rides (both Chevrolet - Cobalt & Cavalier) so an Impala seemed like a logical progression. Being a younger male, it's not the flashiest car to own but it is near perfect for my needs. I have used it now for two years from 76,000 to 108,000 miles and I have been able to do almost all needed maintenance and repairs myself, saving me a considerable amount of money. Parts are extremely easy to come by and rather inexpensive. It is designed in a way that is very straight forward and there aren't any surprises. It is quick enough for me to enjoy occasional spirited driving. Mileage is okay - about 22 mpg currently. The original tires, Goodyear Integrity, are terrible. I have finally replaced all four with some quality tires and WOW, it feels like a brand new car at 108k miles. I use the trunk for a large, self-built subwoofer and amplifiers. The factory speaker locations and size allow a wide variety of aftermarket options. 2,200 watts of bass has so far ruined a trunk latch, but it was easily replaced. The car is holding up well.

Very great.
I like the Impala because of the gas mileage. The price I paid was also low. Never really had any problems with it. The car lasted me about 12 years; then it had a breakdown. The electrical system in the car was faulty. The dashboard stopped lighting up; then it wouldn't start after that.
