I enjoyed until the brake lining broke.
I really like driving it, the height and dependability. Gas was okay, and I felt safe inside. Then I loaded up the truck to take my brother to college, and on the way there, the brake lining busted.

Reliable!
Over the years it has been a very reliable truck. We use it for hauling materials to and from work. The 2001 Silverado had one design flaw in the cap and rotor assembly -- it tends to corrode but once this was discovered it was easy to repair. Ever so often it must be replaced. Inexpensive repair and then it's ready to go again. Other than that and normal maintenance such as oil and fluid changes, the vehicle has run like a top for well over a decade. I believe the truck will make to antique status someday.
