Reliable, well-aged, powerful
My Silverado has been well taken care of and has been updated for its time with new Z71 rims, headlights, taillights, new seats, etc. The truck is extremely reliable and the only thing that has broken on it in 165k miles was the A/C unit and the fuel pump I prematurely replaced to be "safe than sorry". The truck has plastic fuel pumps. The 5.3 engine is a powerhouse and can do plenty of towing with the high torque. The Chevy parts are super cheap and the build quality for this year's truck was exceptional.

Been a great truck so far
I bought my 2011 Silverado with 16,000 miles on it in 2012. It is a 5.3L Z-71 4x4 bench seat with an extended cab (half doors) and the 6.5 foot bed. Currently, the truck is reading just under 80,000 miles. Running gear wise, the truck as been great. Fit and finish are starting to get the normal Chevy rattles. Gas mileage is a little low even for a full-size 4x4 (averaging around 15mpg). For comparison, I had a 2007 and a 2008 Toyota Tundra with the 5.7 and both averaged around 18 mpg.
