Excellent heavy duty truck, has been very reliable with few problems, I have owned the vehicle for 12 years and have done the brakes, shocks, battery and tires, everything else still runs great and I have hade no other problems with the vehicle. This truck is good for hauling anything with its heavy duty tow package, HUGE 7.4 liter Vortec 454 engine and heavy suspension package. It also has the big transmission in automatic that makes it easy to tow something without overheating. the interior is plush fabric and has lasted very well without any rips or damage from everyday wear and tear. My truck is loaded with every option. Power heated mirrors, power locks, am FM cassette player, heat, air conditioning, sliding rear window, opening rear wing windows. A very very sweet truck that can do anything. 4x4 will take you anywhere you need to go in poor road condition.

I bought this truck as a used car from an online website. The truck is a 2002 2500HD Silverado with the 6.6l Duramax engine. I purchased the truck in the Fall of 2011 only because I was given a large camper that my previous vehicle would not tow. This truck is a powerhouse, in which I have not found anything yet that will stop it. Like I mentioned before, it's the 6.6l Duramax engine and I have it straight piped so it's loud. One of the reasons I really love my truck is that it is an attention getter. I get a lot of compliments on it, and take very good care of it. Being that It is the Diesel HD (Heavy Duty) model, replacement parts are more expensive than regular parts, and to find a mechanic that works on a Duramax engine is few and far between. Another good thing about this truck is the fact that since it is Diesel, the engine will outlast the body of the truck, if taken care of. I have had to replace the Allison Transmission already, at a cost of just under $3000, and if the injectors fail, that will be another $6000 fix.
