It's Cute - But Not For Everyone
I was instantly attracted to the color of this car (Orange) which made me interested enough in buying it without really looking into it. For the first year that I had it, I received three different recall notices. I wasn't very happy about that because I had to take the car to the dealership and they don't have extended or weekend hours which also means that I have to take off work to get the vehicle repaired. I don't feel safe in this car. The brakes feel like they tighten up when I press them down, especially going down a hill. One time this past winter, I was braking on the snow and the brakes kept locking up on me. That was very scary. I thought that the guy behind me was going to ram into the back of my car. What I do like is that I can fill up the tank and it will last all week. I like how small it is and how I can fit into small parking spaces and ease past other cars on the road. It's fun to drive because it can go pretty fast at times and I can get it from 0-60 mph in a matter of seconds.

Love the Chevy sonic, great inexpensive car.
The Chevy Sonic was my first new car I ever purchased. It caught my eye because it was small and compact and the price was great. I liked the hatchback style because it allowed such a small car to have decent space in the trunk. Surprisingly, the back seats are not uncomfortable. I have sat in the back a few times and at 5'5'' I am not cramped. I have had to fix very few things on my car other than basic upkeep my oil changes and new tires. It also does surprisingly well in bad weather for a small front wheel drive only car. I was sort of disappointed by the gas mileage, as it does not get as good of mileage as was advertised. I get about 28-29 mph on the highway and about 25-26 city. And I don't think I drive like a maniac or anything! Additionally, it takes awhile to warm up or cool down, and the engine is pretty slow to get moving. But it's not meant to be a power wheels car, so its not a huge deal. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I just did my last car payment on this car, and I plan on keeping it for another few years.
