Spacious, comfortable, and smooth
As far as SUVs go, the 1998 Chevy Suburban is a stylish vehicle. It has a streamlined body and a plush interior which gives you plenty of space for comfortable traveling.
It's performance on the road is top-notch. You barely feel speed bumps or pot holes as the heavy frame of the Suburban glides right over them. The brakes handle very nicely for a vehicle of its size and won't require you to stop the brake pedal, instead you can very easily decelerate to an unnoticeable stop.
The interior comes with ample space for larger persons and for those of us who simply like to stretch at a stop light. There are plenty of side containers for storing accessories, CDs, magazines, etc., and the stereo system comes with a user-friendly interface that anybody can use.
One of the most convenient features of owning an SUV is its trunk space. If you have a friend who needs your help transporting some furniture or boxes, you can simply fold back the 3rd row of seats providing you with plenty of storage space and saving you from having to rent a U-Haul truck.
As is with most SUVs the gas mileage is considerably lower than any town car, averaging at about 17 miles per gallon in city limits. It is not a good choice for commuting to work, but the Chevy Suburban is a fantastic choice for taking a family on a road trip.

A great family car.
The 2008 Suburban is a great purchase for a large family. With five children, we needed a vehicle that not only could fit all of us, but that could also grow with us. Many vehicles like the Tahoe are big enough, but the back row is extremely uncomfortable for the people sitting back there if they have longer legs, the Suburban does not have this issue as the area is flat and not raised. The car is well built, I have not had any major issues with the engine or body of the car. It is sturdy. If there is a downside however is how complex it is to change the headlights out. It is almost as if Chevrolet tries to make it impossible so that you will have to take it in to a dealership to change it. In order to change the headlight, you have to take the bumper off and get in behind it. It is very time consuming and silly to have to do so, but the Tahoe was the same way, so maybe it is a Chevy thing. The Suburban seems to have better mileage than my Tahoe did, which is completely unexpected to me. I get between 15-18 mpg where the Tahoe, I'd get 12-15. Over all, I love my Suburban.

This is the 3rd vehicle I have purchased from this dealership. Up until two weeks ago I would have said they were great. They kept calling me with offers. The lady said she could get me in a newer car for less than I pay now and give me good money on my trade in which is the last car I got there. I decided to stop in one day and check out what they had to offer. They only showed me one car and kept trying to sell me on it. When I asked about notes he said it would run me 100 more than I currently paid. They wanted to give me thousands less for my trade in than it was worth. They only wanted to give me the exact amount I needed down and add the rest of what I currently owed onto my new note. I said no thanks I cannot afford that. He kept pushing and wanted me to fill out a credit app to try to lower the note. I told him no thank you. He started to ask me random questions and I realized he was filling out app for me against my wishes! I asked to be excused and called my husband for help. He came in and they tried to give him the details. He asked for numbers and they told him. He asked if that was the best they could do and they said yes. They guy kept trying to give him details and just didn't seem to understand that no matter what he said if the deal was the same it was a no. He them told them it wouldn't work and they were going to look around first and may be back. The guy got agitated and commented "But we've already spend over an hour with her on this!" as if I HAD to purchase the car. He asked for my keys to leave and the guy avoided them over several times. When my husband got mad the another guy stepped in giving him the keys. They kept saying he wouldn't find anything better and trying to persuade him. he got mad and we left and said we may be back. The guy proceeded to follow us outside and tell us how rude we were. My husband told him he needs to learn customer service. the guy yelled at him and flipped him off. It was a horrible experience! I don't know that I will ever go car shopping again. The guy was nice until he wasn't selling.
