Great family car
My Traverse is incredibly dependable, large enough for my family and has third-row seating. It gives the functionality of a larger type vehicle similar to a van but looks better. It is easy for me to get into the backseat to clean or vacuum since I do have four kiddos who go almost everywhere with me. It is sleek and stylish also. I love that I can take it a few hours away and not worry about it breaking down even with almost 100,000 miles on it. We have driven it from Iowa to South Dakota without any worries. I actually can't think of anything that I do dislike about it. I have ridden in the passenger seat when my husband is driving and it is very comfortable. It has a ton of storage space and the center console is large enough to store stuff in. I've taken my large labs in it to the vet and it is just overall a good car for everything. The trunk space is large enough for me to fit a ton of groceries and boy do I buy a lot for six people. It is such a relief to have a dependable vehicle that is big enough for a large family with small kids. The car seats fit excellently and I have no safety concerns for my children riding in it. Overall, I love this car.

Dissatisfied about the quality and lack of support from GM
I have a 2011 Chevy Traverse. I bought the Traverse as an upgrade form my Chevy Trailblazer, which I loved. However, I have been incredibly disappointed in the Traverse. To begin, the seatbelt plastic cases have all broken. The plastic joint that holds the seatbelt in the seat have also slipped down and need to be constantly put back in place. The carpet in the front has come unglued exposing wires. Though there have been multiple recalls on the car. The one they have not recalled, but need to, is the rack and pinion steering. The car will lose power steering while driving. GM replaced the power steering pump, though their mechanic stated it is not the power steering pump that is the problem, but the rack and pinion steering which needs the entire unit replaced. This fix costs approximately $2,000. It has not been recalled, though it is an issue with almost all 2011 Traverses. They have not lived up to my expectations with this vehicle or ensuring the safety of their customers.
