Gas guzzling, engine failure
The 2001 Dodge Durango I owned was previously owned and that may impact many performance metrics I observed. However, I acquired the car in 2010. The engine failed within a year of me owning the vehicle, and the A/C had never functioned. However, I did have some positive experiences to compliment the ownership of the car. The engine capabilities are incredible. Despite being a full-sized SUV, the Dodge Durango can move. The steering was responsive and satisfying. The acceleration was metered and manageable. The Durango functioned well in hot Alabama summers and the surprising cold snaps the winter brings. The ability to adjust to the high contrast in temperatures that gives many cars problems is one I consider of high value when considering a practical vehicle purchase. However, the experiences with the engine and A/C would advise me to turn all prospective readers off to purchasing this model.

Great family car.
The Dodge Durango was purchased used and had around 20000 miles. During the 6 years that we owed it performed perfectly. Never had any trouble with it. It was roomy, with a clean look. It seemed to fit the needs of our family perfectly.
