Dodge Journey
I bought 2013 Dodge Journey three years ago for my family. I needed something that had decent leg room for my wife and I. We are tall individuals. It had to have space in the back for our two kid's supplies and what not. This vehicle had that. It was technological savvy, an awesome screen system, push button start key, alarm system, no moon roof (woot woot). At the time, I felt between the price and all of extras I would get, it was a no brainer to buy it. This vehicle is great in size, leg room and storage. However, there are been a few recalls on it due to engine trouble. The vehicle is a bit bulky, which I feel is the cause for the low gas mileage we receive. I do love the indash screen. By far, one of the best. Not only is it in color, but the choices you have, along with the size. While waiting for someone it's been a little life saver for us, because it will play DVD on your screen. The kids love it.

The Dodge Journey is a reliable car for the price. I have driven it over 120,000 miles now with no issues. Even with high mileage, the car rides smoothly and is very quiet. It also gets great gas mileage -- a bonus for parents who have to take kids to a lot of extracurricular activities. The interior is not very well made, though -- the plastic pieces covering the side of the front seats snaps off often, and the plastic foot kick at the bottom by the doors snaps off as well; the plastic pieces in the interior look and function cheaply. The stereo in the vehicle is amazing, and I love the ability to listen to music from my cell phone or Sirius Radio through the radio. I do wish it had better Bluetooth connection, though, because I always have a hard time getting my Bluetooth devices to sync. I bought the vehicle because I wanted to transport my family of five and two pets but did not want the look of a minivan. After buying the car, I found it difficult for my family to all fit in the car because the back seat is difficult to access and has very little leg room -- a downside for my 5'11" daughter. While I found it isn't the best passenger car I've owned, I do love that the back and middle seats fold down, giving me enough room to transport large items - I once fit three sousaphones with cases into the car all at once.
