The RAM 1500, a great workhorse if nothing else.
It worked well for the purpose that I bought it for. I had a contract to do construction site clean up and another for phone book distribution. Most of the construction items were recyclable, like pallets, scrap iron and copper and cardboard. I needed an eight-cylinder plain truck. Nothing fancy in the bed, bare necessities on the interior, and it didn't have to look good. It just had to reliably get me around the city and to recycling center or the landfill. I hauled about 1,000 pounds per trip. It had big tires, rugged high-profile ones, that could absorb the weight and shock associated with cargo hauling. A lot of the trips were on interstate highways, so handling was especially important. I bought it used. It had previously been used for the same type on cargo hauling that I needed. The company just needed a newer looking one. This one was all dinged and scratched up, so I got it cheap.

Great Truck!
I have owned this truck going on 5 years and have never had to put it into the shop. All we have had to do was do routine maintenance on it, like changing the oil and changing the break pads. We have put over 140,000 miles onto and it is still going strong! Our truck averages about 19 mpg when on the highway and 15 mpg in city. Even though our truck is only two wheel drive it still makes it through tough terrain with no problems. It also has the towing package and tows trailers very well. Most of the time it doesn't even feel like we are towing anything and the gas doesn't go down too badly when having it in tow. The backseat is the only thing I do not like about it. It has a small cab and doesn't leave much room for car seats. If you need to have two rear-facing car seats then this is not the right truck because there isn't enough room for them.

Perfect truck for a high school student.
I liked how the truck was really spacious in the back and front of the vehicle. Around 100,000 miles, the engine and spark plugs began to gave me trouble. It allowed me to get from my home to school about 20 miles away every day. I went out on the backroads with it, and it held up nicely with the transmission and suspension holding fine.
