Make sure you pay attention to the one way streets and get familiar with how you can get from one end to the other straight through. Some of the streets end up in neighborhoods without a direct way out to another so it can be rather confusing if you are unfamiliar with the are.

Norman has become a bigger suburb of OKC over the last few years and they have begun to do a lot of work on the city of Norman. My favorite memory of driving in Norman is the University of Oklahoma Campus. It is a beautiful campus with lots of people walking around and the trees they have planted really bring out the beauty of the are. There are a lot of one way streets that you have to pay close attention to which makes it a bit more difficult but otherwise the campus area is just stunning.

Lindsey street. Lindsey street can be your gateway to the rest of the city. They have completed most of the construction around this area and there is a great access road from the highway. Nice homes along the way and beautiful scenery with less traffic.

Stay off of Berry Road and Imhoff Street, especially if you have a custom or lowered car. Those are two of the worst streets in town.

Having a custom car is great, but living in a city with such a rich history makes it even better. Two years ago, I threw a camera, tripod, some drinks, and my best friend in the car to find some spot to take photos of my custom car. We found an awesome abandoned warehouse near some railroad tracks and did a quick photo shoot that produced some definite keepers. On the way down main street, we snapped pictures of the night life and the gorgeous lights from all of our favorite restaurants as we cruised by. We also discovered the East end of Alameda street, which trails out through the rolling hills toward the lake. That has become one of my favorite roads to drive on when I'm stressed. It's so peaceful and beautiful, and it's easy to look back and catch the sunset over the low Norman skyline.

Alameda Street. It exits the city to the East toward the lake with rolling hills and curves. It's a fun road to drive with a performance car, and it's also very beautiful.
