The 2011 Chevy Equinox looks really good on paper. It has the comforts of an SUV, without the bulk. I like the miles per gallon it can achieve, even as a later model. The collapsible back seat makes it a versatile choice for homeowners who need to haul construction materials. I have been able to haul eight-foot boards by collapsing the back seat and weaving through to the center front console. Unfortunately, we have had several mechanical issues with the car since we bought it, which in my research of the vehicle, seem to be a similar complaint for this make and model. It is also a four-cylinder, which makes it seem sluggish at times. Overall, it's okay and it does what it's supposed to do, most of the time.

This is absolutely the best vehicle I have owned. I really like the all-wheel drive and automatic transmission as well as the four-wheel ABS. It is comfortable, has air conditioning that gives temperature control to the passengers, and a great sound system (XM Radio/AM/FM/CD Player and OnStar). The tire pressure monitoring is also a great feature. The on-board computerization let's you know if anything is amiss with the engine. Safety is remarkable. I feel very secure with this automobile.
