The vehicle has been overall reliable over the time we have had it, but there is nothing incredibly exciting about the vehicle. There have been no major mechanical issues, but the interior has not held up that well. The ride can be a bit rough, but it handles just fine, and the traction control system and anti-lock brakes have always been reliable. It gets decent mileage for its age, and we will continue to rely on it for years to come hopefully.

I am a not so proud owner of the 2003 Chevrolet Malibu. While it is nice looking, spacious and safe I have had to repair at least 2 things a year for the last several years. I do not recommend this car to anyone with more sense than money. The Air Conditioning needs repair, the check engine light is on due to a faulty intake valve, the transmission has needed replaced, there was a major leak in the brake fluid where I had to replace brake fluid about once a week until we got it repaired and numerous other problems. I wish I could just sell this car and get one that works. I don't need anything fancy or expensive. Just a safe commuter car I can count on. My model has about 100,000 miles on it and I'm nor sure how many it has left in it. I dislike the constant worry. This isn't a sexy car. It was supposed to be a safe family car and while it has nice safety features I am unimpressed with the cars blind spots and lack of acceleration. The gas mileage is roughly 23mpg so nothing to write home about. It's fairly smooth but far from quiet. I just wish I could get a good price for it but no one in their right mind would buy this lemon from me.
