When I first bought this truck, it was actually not the one I was looking for. At the time, I was looking for the 2007 model. The dealership I went to did not have a model in the color in that year I want. They did however have a 2008 that had everything and more!! Plus the fact it literally had just came off the truck from Detroit. Needless to say once I took it for a test drive I knew I had to have it. First to be a truck it rode very smoothly. Furthermore, the fact that the inside was very roomy and the seats were very comfortable may have helped out. There was also the fact it drove very nicely. After purchasing it, I realized what a great truck it was. I have used it to tow several things for others and myself. Even with a trailer hooked up, it still preforms and rides great. I have also used it to haul stuff in the bed, with loads that actually exceed the recommended weight and still preforms well. The best part though, it is a truck that also works as a family vehicle. I have two young kids with car seats, but because of the crew cab function there is plenty of room for everyone! Even better is the fact the kids actually like riding in it better than their mothers car!!

I have had my Chevy Silverado 1500 for almost 15 years, and I love it. The shift-on-the-fly 4WD is seamless. The power has been great for everything from hauling my ATVs and trailer to hauling a load of concrete garden blocks from the Do It Yourself Store, and the Tow-Haul feature really helps on hilly roads. It has a commodious 8 ft bed with over 4 ft between the wheel wells, so it is perfect when you want to haul those big sheets of plywood or drywall. It's a great workhorse, but also has a bit of luxury and comfort with extra soft, velour-texture seat fabric, a generous compartment in the flip down armrest for your electronics, three standard 12v outlets, lumbar support, and automatic windows and door locks. Despite having been driven on many road trips, in the harsh environments of the Pacific Northwest and the Southwest, and on many 4wd rocky, mountainous trails, this truck has performed like a champ with very little maintenance required other than the usual stuff like oil changes, battery replacement, and tire replacement. In fact, it still has it's original paint job!
