I do not like the 2008 Dodge Avenger. All I have to say is thank God for the warranty. What hasn't gone wrong with this car? The gear shift has gone out and this was within the first month that I purchased it. They have the speakers right next to the panels at the bottom where you store things and the speakers rattle anything that you store. Also the windows went out. My window fell down and the motor to operate the window on my passenger side stop working. Also the spark plugs went out as well. When I first took this car in for servicing after I purchased it I knew their was a problem when the Dodge place I took it to, to get the vehicle serviced was telling me I better pray that everything happens under warranty. The car is made of the cheapest plastic possible. Also there is something wrong where the door pushes it self forward and causes a popping noise when you try to open it on the passenger side. I would not recommend this car to my worse enemy. The only good thing about this car is you can plus your phone in and listen to music. Now my a/c has gone out and I only had it for 6 years.

My Avenger has good overall quality. I have driven this car as the sole owner, and I purchased the car with less than 30 miles on it. It now has 93,000 miles. The car handles well on highways and in city driving instances. The breaks work in an amazing fashion which helps during instances in which I have to stop fast for college students in the city or deer on country roads. The radio and CD player have never given me a problem, and I enjoy listening to music when I drive in the car. I have sufficient trunk space for my belongings and items from other passengers. I travel frequently and appreciate the ability to accelerate fast when large trucks have tried to run me off the road. The style of the car fits my personality, and I enjoy the sporty look of the car. Although the car looks sporty, it does provide good space for passengers to ride comfortably which is important because my family members and I are tall, and we have several family members over six foot three inches tall including my six foot ten inch brother. I would buy the car again if they made it still, but they discontinued the model which was a disappointment because the replacement is smaller with less room inside the car. Another good feature of the car is a reliable cruise control which I use on a regular basis because it allows me to drive safely and rest my leg with the interior leg room provided. This is my second Dodge, and the best car I have purchased.
