On the exterior, the build quality looks to be superior and rugged. It is bulky and looks solid. I enjoy driving SUVs because I like being a bit higher off the ground when I drive, which is something that sedans can't really give me. While the exterior seems to be premium, the interior is an entirely different story. The interior looks cheap, since it is made of mostly hard plastic. The "smart display" is not smart and does not respond well to user input. It's hard to use when you're driving. I do like that I feel safe when I'm driving, but that is about it. I strongly dislike how weak the car's engine is--it takes a while to get up to a suitable speed when you're merging into incoming traffic on the highway. It also has many blind spots due to its sheer size, and not even adjusting the mirrors helps. Three years into owning the car, the brakes on the car failed for no reason, which was $800 repair. On top of that, it has very poor mileage. When I commuted from the suburbs to the city to work everyday, I was spending upwards of $100 on gas a week. It would take half a tank to go back and forth in the city from the suburbs, which was the total of a 80 mile commute roundtrip.

I really liked the look of the Edge. It had a sleek modern look, but not too futuristic. It came with a sunroof and leather heated seats which are great in the winter! A GPS system was installed in the car and came with an awesome feature of a camera that shows your surroundings when putting the vehicle in reverse. It is a bit small now for our growing family, as the seating can only accommodate 5 people, so that I don't like so much.

This vehicle is great as a family vehicle. There is a lot of space in the backseat for kids or young adults to be comfortable. The complete leather interior makes it easier to clean after a toddler or pets. The back seat can fold down in two different segments which helps if you have a full load in the car. The gas mileage is decent for an SUV. Some of the parts are only manufactured by Ford so those repairs can become expensive.
