Though the Ford Escape gets great gas mileage and has a sleek look, the inconvenience of having been in the shop multiple times for a vehicle under 50k mi and 2 yrs old has been overwhelming. This vehicle has suffered multiple transmission and coolant issues, along with various safety recalls. Some of the re-calls, such as the fuel line and engine cap coolant leaks, could have been catastrophic with others being large safety concerns, like the restraint system.

I wouldn't have bought this vehicle if I hadn't already owned another Escape for the past 5 years. Wasn't fond of the new body style that came out in 2013 so I'm glad I was able to find a 2012 with super low miles and a nearly perfect appearance. Quick to accelerate, easy to navigate, and it loves to get muddy. Integrated Sirius/XM satellite, Bluetooth, and hands free calling make it an even better steal.
