Dependable, smaller SUV
The Escape is great for someone who likes to be able to haul some cargo and other people but doesn't need a huge amount of room like most SUVs have. It drives smoothly and is able to navigate through urban and suburban areas easily. The look of the vehicle is unique and everything on the outside is very functional. Overall, a really nice car for someone who is active and traveling a fair amount.

Decent small SUV, but with setbacks.
While this is a decent car for a smaller SUV, I would not choose this if looking for another vehicle presently. The gas mileage is not good at all. Many problems have arisen, and I've had to put thousands of dollars into repairs, many times the same things over and over. However, I have driven a lot with it and mostly on significant regular trips. It has worked well for that, since it's been relatively reliable for longer drives. The problem comes when it sits or when adverse weather is encountered. There should have been a block heater installed since it is located in a northern climate with lots of snow and very cold temperatures. For what I wanted at the time at purchase: something mid-size, decent cargo room, higher up; it has delivered. Yet now I realize there are more cars out there with better fuel economy and better for the environment that I would choose rather than this.

My husband needed a car that gets good gas mileage since, he drives 40 miles to and from work every day. We had heard that Auto Nation in White Bear Lake, Minnesota had a great selection of Ford Focuses so we drove from our home in Wisconsin to see what they had available. We dealt with a sales agent named Bob who had been working there for a number of years. He was great about providing in-depth details about the Focus and went above and beyond to find us ways to cut our purchase cost. We also got extremely low financing (2%) because of our great credit as well as a fantastic warranty. Since we had been looking at other models for some time and weren't that impressed and we loved the Focus, we purchased it the same day we took it for a test drive. Bob called us numerous times afterward to ask us if we had any questions and to ensure we were happy with our purchase. Service here was excellent.
