Used Ford Escape for Sale in Ringgold, GA

I purchased this vehicle used two years ago and have had nothing but trouble with it. I thought I did enough research on it, but I didn't. When the problems started with the transmission, I looked online about this problem and found an obscene amount of complaints about the transmission, and it seems that Ford knew about the transmission issues and never recalled it. They did let the dealer know how to fix the problem when an issue arrived. Then there was the issue with the design. It looks fine, but the wheel areas rust out due to a design flaw. We had both rear shocks break. One went clear into the inside of the car due to the rust. It is a V6 and might have power and pick up in some but mine has never. Don't purchase, or before you do, look it up on cars complaint website.

I bought my Escape with 20,000 miles on it. I drove it 100 miles per day 5 days a week for over a year, putting 40,000 more miles on it. The car is comfortable to drive. My long commute would often mean that I would spend 2 hours or more in the car at a time. The Ford SYNC technology is great for making and receiving calls and the Bluetooth audio function is good for streaming music or listening to audio books. I have not yet had any mechanical issues with car. What I don't like is that is more of a car than an SUV. I drove a similar car prior to this (Mazda Tribute which was basically and Escape) and it was an SUV. The gas mileage is poor, averaging 25 miles to the gallon with mosey flat highway miles. For something that drives like a car, I'd expect better gas mileage. There us less room in the cargo area than there was in the earlier models. It feels like I am driving an aluminum can. The construction of the car feels cheap. The highway noise is pretty loud too.
