This is my second Ford vehicle and my first SUV. I'm the second owner, having purchased the Explorer from my dad who bought it brand new from the dealership. It has always been well maintained, never missed a tune-up or oil change. I trust this vehicle because of the brand, and because I know its entire history. Being a mother to a very active little boy, I knew I needed something bigger than my old sedan, but I was adamantly against a minivan. This is perfect! The four-wheel drive helps me navigate slippery winter roads, which I used to dread with my past vehicles. The heated seats are a huge bonus when the weather gets cold, and here in New England, there are plenty of cold mornings and evenings. Decent gas mileage for an SUV, I was honestly expecting it to be less fuel efficient than it actually is. Being the top-of-the-line model, the Eddie Bauer has the dual-color paint and the extras like the sunroof and heated seats and six-CD changer. None of these features would be critical, but they're definitely nice to have. Overall, my Explorer is a fantastic, safe, reliable family vehicle.
