They went back to some of the original design of the Mustang. The doors have the classic shark gill design. The front hood is pointed like a shark head. The rear passenger windows are small and triangular. The taillights are three lights on each side. The air vents are round chrome as well as the instrument panel. It has leather bucket seats. There are no digital dials and no LCD screens. The only thing modern about it is the stereo which is a six-CD changer Shaker 500 with 4 8" woofers that really rock your socks off. You can see the mirrors shake. It just looks and feels a lot like a 1970s Mustang.

I purchased this Ford Mustang Convertible brand new in 2004 and have not regretted one moment of it. It has had only 1 maintenance issue and that was the water pump. It was a relatively inexpensive repair. It drives solid! It only has 50,000 miles on it now and has been very efficient to maintain. The interior has a good sound system and plenty of storage room, although it does lack the newer cars gps systems and such. It does not get a very high mpg rating either but I needed the larger space. I can actually put the top down, put my bicycle in the back seat, put the top back up and be on my way to meet friends to ride. The trunk would be of better use if it had a wider opening but it is adequate for my needs. The inside still looks brand new as does the outside. People don't believe it when I tell them its' age. The cost of insurance is higher of course as it is considered a sports car, but the fun is worth it! There is plenty of leg room in the front. The leg room in back is not so generous and sitting so low to the ground makes it difficult to get in and out for older folks.

This car is beautiful to look at from the inside to outside. It is truly flawless. It has an old-school feel inside and new-school body. It has been pretty reliable so far and rides okay. I would like it to be a little more smoother and quieter. Might make some adjustments to car to achieve this, and gas mileage is so-so...it could be better. Oil changes definitely helps with gas mileage also.
