Reliable, economical.
My favorite part about this car is the trunk space. One time in college we were able to fit four grown adults in it. This also came in handy moving back-and-forth between college internship and home. The car got decent gas mileage especially on country roads. I enjoyed being able to get information from the car, the first car owned that would allow me to know the exact mileage left in the gas tank. One of the things I really disliked about this car, is the fact that the check engine light frequently would come on. Most often, the check engine light would come on because the gas lid was not true and Tylenol. I would have to drain the gas lid 10 to 20 times so that this check engine light will not come on. When I looked up the problem in the manual, it said that it could either be a dangerous problem such as the engine or the gas lid. I would have to wait 3 to 5 times starting the car before knowing what it was. The backseat has plenty of legroom for passengers. I wish that there was a place in most cars to still a large purse with an easy axis of the driver and without having to be on the passengers lap. The car was heard some noise in the engine that made it sound like it was maybe not running up at optimum performance. I like how smoothly had of the road. It is by no means a high-end car, but it’s good enough.

The 2005 Ford Taurus is certainly a car.
The 2005 Ford Taurus does exactly what you would expect it to. It drives, and it definitely is a car. This vehicle was designed for fleet purchasers, and if you rented a car sometime between 2005 and 2010 you've been in one of these. It doesn't accelerate particularly quickly, the suspension isn't very tight, the brakes aren't super fast, and the steering isn't super responsive. In fact, the driving experience could easily be described as "spongy". The caveat to all of this, though, is that is also neither unpleasant or bad. There's a stately gentility to driving this car--it's straight out of the family sedans and station wagons if a bygone age--and it's actually rather comfortable. Interestingly, like cars from that bygone age, the Taurus has some features like a bench front seat (with a seatbelt in the middle!), a column shifter, a tape deck so you can listen to some of those eighties favorites, and length! This thing is like driving a yacht! Most importantly, this car seems to be essentially reliable--it is good at its essential function of getting up to six people and their stuff to wherever they need to go. So if you've got a family and the whole minivan/SUV culture just isn't your thing, then maybe you should consider this car.
