What’s New for 2023?
Everything. The Accord is all-new for 2023 and now in its 11th generation. This version focuses more on the Hybrid model: only the two base trims come with a non-hybrid gas engine. The rest will be hybrids. The 2.0-liter turbo engine from the previous generation is discontinued.
The Accord gets all-new styling inside and out, and it grows a bit in length.
Inside it adds a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel as standard and either a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system on base models or a 12.3-inch screen on Hybrid models.
What’s Good?
- Handsome exterior
- New tech & safety features inside
- Impressive safety features
What’s Bad?
- Some may find exterior styling boring
- 2.0-liter turbo is no longer available
- Hybrid-only on higher trims may turn off some buyers
Would we buy one?
We would! The Accord has long been a crisp-handling, comfortable, and reliable choice and we see no reason that changes for 2023.

Overview:
Honda's legendary Accord midsize sedan is all-new for 2023. This 11th generation model brings with it a new focus on hybrids, a crisp & understated new look, and heaps of tech inside.
Base models' (LX & EX) gas engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 192 hp.
The rest of the lineup -- Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Touring -- will get a hybrid powertrain that's more powerful than before, with 204 total horsepower from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors.
Inside there's a standard 10.2-inch digital instrument panel that comes on ALL new Accords.
Hybrid models also come with a new 12.3-inch touchscreen, which is the largest you can get in any Honda currently. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Gas models come with a 7-inch screen and the connectivity isn’t wireless.
Plus, the top Touring trim has Google built-in, with Google Assistant, Maps, and Play all integrated.
Finally, when it comes to safety, this new Accord takes it seriously.
Honda says it's targeting a Top Safety Pick + from IIHS, like it had with the previous generation. Honda Sensing is also standard on all Accord trims. This includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow and traffic jam assist, lane keep assist, wider blind spot monitoring than before and a wider backup camera view.
