Reliable, but nothing fancy
I chose a Honda Civic because I knew I was going to get a terrible deal with no cosigner or credit history. I looked up the most reliable used brands because I didn't want to have to buy another car for many years. I very actively despised debt so I planned to pay off the car early and have 0 car payments for 10 years following minimum. Knowing very little about cars, Google brought me to Hondas. I immediately picked out one I liked and went to Luther Hopkins Honda. When I got there, they told me the model I wanted was cheaper than the one I wound up buying, but the power locks didn't work. This was a deal breaker for me, so I looked at one a couple thousand dollars more expensive, a year older, with 30,000 miles on it.
I test drove it and loved it immediately, primarily because I knew nothing about cars. I loved the digital display, as all my dad's displays were analog. I loved the smooth ride, as the only car I had driven up until that point was my grandma's beat up Buick. I liked everything about it. Looking back, I wish I'd shopped around more because I got a terrible deal. But at the time I was a naive kid and decided to purchase the first car I even test drove. My father urged me to shop around, but I was desperate for my first car and signed the paperwork a couple days later.

The 2009 Honda Civic DX has been a really great car for me. I bought it used at 20k miles or so and have put 100k miles on it over seven years. It has never broken down. The only repairs I have had to do are putting in a $5 relay which controls the A/C condenser. It gets about 35 miles per gallon combined city and highway. I can go 350+ miles without stopping to fill up. The clutch is really easy to deal with and has not worn out on me yet. A few things could be improved, but itÕs the lowest priced Civic so you get what you pay for. The interior can be pretty loud. The seats arenÕt the most comfortable for long-distance travel. They are manageable though. For example, IÕve driven this car from southern California to eastern New York with no issues except a little back pain. There is adequate truck and cabin space for passengers and baggage. The center console is lacking as there is no cover for it. The vehicle has small rust spots after 120k miles, but it was driven in northern states, which heavily salt the roads. I have been very thankful to own this economy car.

This car is utilitarian and dependable.
My car is very dependable and has never had any problems in more than 3 years. I drive it a lot across country and only have had general maintenance. It is reliable and comfortable. I like the sunroof and leather seats, and especially the seat warmers. I wish I had gotten auto start from the beginning because I would really use that and I also wish that it had a bit more zip when you were driving it. It is economical so I know I gave up some zip for the mileage, but I'd love it to speed up a bit better and give me a little more power. It's comfortable and fun to drive.

I came here looking to purchase a used vehicle. The sales staff was very helpful and friendly. I never felt pressured or like I was being taken advantage of. I ultimately purchased elsewhere, but I will shop here again next time I'm looking for a vehicle.

They were friendly and patient. The customer service was phenomenal in comparison to any other car dealership I have visited in the past. They offered competitive prices to other dealerships.
