I got that car when I was 16. It was my first car and a gift from my parents. It was in Electron Blue Pearl, and I just loved the car and the color. Being only 1.6L but 160HP, it was a very fast car while at the same time getting over 35MPG. In just six years I put 110,000 miles on it. I never had any problems with it, and just took it in for routine maintenance. I don't even think the car was ever recalled. It was a great car. It rode and idled smooth, got great MPG, and was fun to drive. It has been one of the best cars I've ever owned.

I have owned 3 Honda civics in my life. My first one was a 1977. They were called a CVCC then. I learned to drive a stick shift with this car. It took all my clutch abuse I gave it learning to drive it properly. Hondas are so durable and gas efficient . My second civic had 340,000 miles on it before it passed away. The only con about civics are if they start over-heating it is hard to pinpoint the problem. After market parts also can be a problem. Always get genuine Honda replacement parts or you could be in for some trouble.
