Civics were highly recommended to me, and it just took me a long time to find a good deal on one in a color I could live with for ten years or so (since that's how long I estimate I'll be driving this one, from roughly 24,500 miles to 200K.). I have now been driving my 2011 Civic for about three weeks. I'm still getting used to how smooth the pickup is (careful - you can be speeding almost before you know it!) and where the corners of the car are when parking, reversing, etc. The heater works so well that I've almost "overbaked" while driving. And I only have to fill the gas about once a week. It's a slightly bigger tank than my former vehicle, a Chevy Prizm, so it seems to cost a few extra dollars to fill up, but it seems to last longer too. The stereo system is pretty impressive, the trunk has a ton of space and the worst I could say is probably that the cupholders are in an awkward position for anyone with short arms. I think they should be closer to, or even above, the shifting handle, instead of so far back. Based on the positive experience so far, I'm pretty sure I'm going to enjoy driving this car for quite some time.

I have owned this 2011 Civic EX for a year now. I have to say that I am "mostly" satisfied. I really do enjoy driving the car. I think I would like the Civic SI a lot more, because I have a lead foot, but I probably wouldn't like the decreased gas mileage. I love the way the car handles and the car has adequate power in most situations. I really don't notice the road noise until I go above 65MPH. On a recent weekend trip, the road noise at 80MPH on the interstate was tiring after a while. I have also experience a wide variety of gas mileage figures. A recent interstate run at around 80MPH resulted in 25MPG. The best I have achieved is 32MPG. The gas mileage is worse when I use cruise control.

I really like the feel of the car, I also test drove a Chevy Cruze and the Civic was much more roomier in the back seat. I liked the large trunk space. One of the big selling points for me was the camera that comes on when I am backing up or switching lanes because then it makes it easier to see behind me. The car performs very well so far for someone like me who is low maintenance, I have not had to deal with any major repairs or problems. The car drives smoothly and well for my tastes.
