This car is super practical for me. I'm a musician and I can fold down the back seats and fit pretty much every instrument I've ever played in the back. It's also a great little car for moving my friends in and out of their college apartments since it's not like we're moving furniture. The only problem with that is that I only have the large area when the back seats are down. The hatchback is actually pretty small for anything other than storing groceries. However the back seat is great. I'm the official driver every time my friends and I go anywhere because my two six foot friends actually have enough head/leg room to squeeze into the back seat. The fit is short enough that I never have trouble finding a parking spot, i.e. I can park in those spots everyone avoids because there's a lamppost half way through. The mileage is pretty average. And, we haven't had any major maintenance issues even though we've had the car for quite a few years. And the interior material has held up really well. I would absolutely recommend the fit to anyone who spends a lot of time moving larger objects or wants to shove some tall people in the back.

Our Honda Fit was mostly a great used-car purchase. Our neighbor has one, and we liked the incredibly flexible design. The seats in the back fold up or down to allow for all sorts of cargo carrying from potted plants to long packages. The front seats fold down in a way that allow the back seats to be used as a comfortable lounge chair - perfect for drive in theaters. The build of the car feels sturdy and well built - suited for larger people such as myself. The car was a standard, and the shifting felt great when we drove it off the lot. We only were able to enjoy it for a short time before we found out why it was such a great deal. After a week or so, the engine started sputtering when shifting. Normally, I would assume a car professional would accuse the driver, however my wife and are about experienced stick drivers of 20+ years. When we took it to the dealership, they said there was water in the gas. However, we took a sample and tested it ourselves to find negative results. I also use the same filling station as my wife, and my car has had zero adverse effects (it is also a stick shift). The problem got so bad that they car would stall, and eventually, it wouldn't even start. Luckily, all this happened in the quick month after buying the car, and we were able to return it to the dealership. In the time since, my wife bought a brand new model year of the same car, and it has been perfect. Maybe it was that car, maybe it was that year. I don't know. I expect that it was a problem.
