I bought the car because of it's reputation for low maintenance costs, and I was not to be disappointed. It was a used car when I purchased it, and it had almost 200K kilometers on it. I put on another "hard" 50k on it before I had to do any major repairs on it. It is a 4-door sedan so it has plenty of room for a decent size family and it drove and handled almost like a sports car. It is very stylish for it's time, with smooth curves and low wind resistance.. As compared to US built cars, it took GM almost another 7 years to build a car similar to it. Routine maintenance is easy to do on it. The gas filter is located on the fire wall behind the engine and can be swapped out in 15 minutes. The oil filter is located right next to the crank case drain plug, so you can do an oil and filter change in about 10 minutes. It has front wheel drive so it handles very well in all weather conditions.
