After someone ran in to me in my last vehicle I had to find an affordable pre-owned option. After much shopping around and test driving I settled on my now current vehicle, a 2009 MAZDA 6. Having owned both an SUV and another 4 door car in the past I was drawn to its quick "get up and go" and it's sporty yet sophisticated look both inside and out. The seats are very comfortable and all controls for sound, lights, A/C and heat are very intuitive and well placed. There are virtually no blind spots and there is a built in sensor that alerts me to when there is a solid object potentially too close while in a hard to see spot while my turn signals are on so that I don't change lanes and hit anyone or anything. The gas mileage is fairly decent, though my perspective may be skewed having driven an SUV for the previous 8 years to my purchasing the Mazda 6. I believe I get anywhere from 25-30 MPG depending on the circumstances (a big plus with gas being almost $3.29 at this time.) I also find it to be very easily maneuverable and I do feel very safe on the freeway.
