Fuel-efficient but not quite reliable
To start, this vehicle was passed down to use from a family member, so it already had a significant amount of miles on it. That being said, it had held up fine until the point we had it. It will occasionally break down, the A/C will break and leak into the car—flooding the floor boards and damaging the interior, and the radiator has broken numerous times. The exterior is rapidly deteriorating from a poor paint job and exposure to the Florida sun. However, although it has all of these flaws, it usually gets us from one place to another, as long as it's not more than 60 or 70 miles at a time. It's not great for road trips. The fuel efficiency is its saving grace. I'm not sure of its exact MPG, but we usually only have to fill the tank up once or twice a month and for only about $30 at a time.

Terrible car
This was one of the worst purchases ever. The car's odometer broke a month after I got it. The battery also died, and the starter gave out. The brakes started going bad all around the same time. I put maybe 2,000 miles on it, and it bit the dust pretty much. It was nice when I was driving it, but it was definitely not worth all the maintenance it required. It was a smooth ride and got decent gas mileage. Now it sits outside by the end of my driveway, effectively no more useful than a doorstop. I have taken it on a couple cross-city Journeys that ended up ok. I was not thrilled with the fact that all these parts went bad on it. I wish I had done some more research on it before I bought it. On the bright side, I gained a plethora of mechanical knowledge about Mitsubishis. I also learned how to change the oil and deal with everything from the engine to the exhaust. I would not recommend this to anyone who doesn't want a project car.
