The Nissan Altima GXE is a pretty reliable vehicle considering it had over 200,000 miles on it when I purchased it, and it still continues to get me from point A to point B. The vehicle is relatively good on gas, approximately 25 miles to the gallon. It doesn't cost a fortune to fill it up since the gas tank only holds 15 gallons. I dislike that the dealer has discontinued a lot of dealer only parts, such as certain hoses which are a necessary item and can only be obtained from a junk yard or you have to improvise. I like that the trunk has an arm rest in the back seat that opens up to the trunk, so if you have to haul something oversized like lumber or shades, it will fit and you can still close the trunk! Overall, the year of this car is the preferred model, as newer models of the Altima have a tendency to have an issue with the intake manifold gaskets leaking and causing a misfire, which is an expensive job if you are not able to work on the vehicle yourself.
