I would tell other drivers who drive around Marion, Illinois to watch out for the construction. It feels as though the construction on the highway is never going to end! Even when they finish one section of it, it seems as though there is another section that they continue to open up for construction. It is definitely frustrating to drive through Marion and have to deal with all the lane closures during rush hour.

I would purchase a vehicle that can handle ice. Southern Illinois gets a lot of ice storms which will cause you to wipe out in smaller cars.

My favorite memory has to be the first time I drove to the city. I was a starry eyed freshman in college being dropped off by my parents at a very early time in the morning. The car was packed full of my belongings, and we were headed to my new dorm room. Lots of time has passed since I was that freshman, but that memory still sticks with me!

Route 14. I really like this road, because it is a long stretch of highway that is perfect for driving on a Sunday morning. I used to drive down Route 14 every Saturday and Sunday morning on business, and the roads would be completely clear. It was an awesome feeling, because that meant that you'd be able to drive down the road without getting stuck behind an elderly person. It stinks when you're driving on Route 14 during the busy hours, and you're stuck behind someone going 40!

Always make sure to be paying attention; you never know when someone else is going to do something stupid.

Personally I like checking Facebook groups for cars. If you use Facebook groups in this area you can usually find a good deal on a newer car!

One time I was driving around the city and all of sudden I saw about 5 people start dancing on the street I was going down. I don't know if they were shooting a YouTube video or what they were doing but it was actually pretty cool.

Broadway. It is the biggest and most popular road to drive on. There are a lot of businesses on this road.
