This car has served me well over the years and is actually the second Toyota Corolla in a row that I owned. It has been subject to a few recalls which makes me trust the brand less but not the car itself. It has held up well otherwise. There are a few dings and scratches now ,and it has more rust spots than my other Corolla did, but still not many. We put an after-market roof rack on it for our kayaks, and it has handled hauling kayaks quite well. It also gets really good gas mileage.

The affordability of the vehicle was a huge factor influencing my choice. I like that it gets good gas mileage, around 26 mpg in the city. Toyota Corolla's reputation for being a reliable car that runs for a long time drew me in as well. The interior of the car is small, but this is not an issue for me. My car also has very basic features. For example, it is not equipped with cruise control.
