The little car that could.
The first thing you talk about with the Prius will always be the gas mileage. Though it does not quite live up to the 50+ miles per gallon that is advertised, you will easily get 45. And, if you are really into the gas savings, some strategic driving can help. Utilize cruise control, coast down hills, and brake only when needed, and you can easily get yourself an extra three to four miles per gallon. But the Prius is more than just gas mileage. The car is plenty powerful -- and you even have the option to hit a button that puts the car into high power mode. You can feel the kick, and the handling definitely keeps up. Most surprisingly, the car is a lot bigger on the inside that it looks on the outside. Flip the back seats down, open that hatch, and you can easily pack more stuff than you could in the trunk of a standard sedan. I'm at 60,000 miles now, and I haven't had any significant problems. Few cars have such a track record of reliability. The console and electronics are simple and user friendly. It has a sleek and sporty look both on the inside and outside. Because of the hybrid engine, your oil changes will tend to be more expensive, but that is more than offset by the incredible savings in gas money.

Reliable and comfortable.
I purchased this vehicle due to the fantastic fuel economy. I bought it with the intention of doing Lyft or Uber with it and I have done both. This car has kept my fuel expenses and repair costs down greatly. It is one of the most reliable vehicles that I have owned. I have had it for about 6 months and I have yet to have any problems with it. I did the math and I save upwards of $1,000 in fuel costs per year by having this car over my previous one (an older Ford). I travel on both the highway and in the city and the Prius engine has always been powerful enough to maneuver in and out of traffic and accelerate quickly to get on the highway. The engine is so quiet that I can hear the road more noticeably. This took a little while to get used to. Also, the parking button took awhile to get used to. I sometimes am afraid that I will hit it when I am driving. I looked it up and nothing will happen if it is hit while the car is traveling about a certain speed. The button is located near to the air conditioning, so I really wish that they would have put it elsewhere. I've never used the "B" mode and I don't think I ever will. I am thinking about taking this car camping due to the fact that the seats fold down to the extent that 1-2 people can sleep in the back. I think it would be comfortable for camping.

The dealership had an excellent selection of Prius to choose from. They also honored an online sale price for my vehicle which apparently was $500 lower than what it was supposed to be. They were quick to put the deal together. They weren't too pushy when trying to sell the extra add ons. All in all much better than the local Joliet dealerships I have dealt with in the past.

They did not have the color of the car I wanted but both the salespeople I had met worked to get me the car from a partner dealership 30 miles from the site. The salesmen were friendly. The negotiation took longer than I anticipated with all the phone calling I had made previously. The sales person did the math wrong and would not honor the price he quoted, but I was happy with the deal regardless. Afterwards, I worked primarily with the manager rather than a salesperson.
