This car was purchased in Ohio, and I had to drive it back to Virginia. In some ways, it seemed very different in both form and performance from any car I had ever driven; it turned out to be very easy to handle and quite comfortable. My husband had been looking at buying a used Prius for some time, but once I drove it, I wouldn't let him have it back.

Overall, this vehicle exceed my expectations when purchased. Prior to purchase, I had two concerns. First, would it be big enough for my body. I'm 6' 3" and was concerned that the Prius, being a compact car, would not be spacious enough from my frame. After sitting in it, and test driving, it became apparent that the interior space was more than sufficient. Second concern was battery life and the replacement cost. At this point, after six years, the battery is still operating at top efficiency. Overall, the Prius lives up to the reputation of Toyota. This was the first Toyota I've owned. At 120,000 miles, I have not experienced any maintenance or repair issues that are not considered routine. The car has surprisingly good performance, especially on acceleration when starting from a stop. Due to the engagement of the electric motors, the torque from these allow for faster starting speeds than traditional gas only vehicles.
