Intended to keep for 3 years, going on 15!
This was the first model (Series 1) of the Toyota Prius available in the US, so they offered a 10 year/100K mile warranty since they apparently knew they would need to work out a few bugs. My wife loved it from the start. It feels solid due to the relatively high weight to size ration due to the bank of electrical batteries under the back seat. The first few years it was in and out of the shop about every other month. The main computer went dead a couple of times, needed a generator replaced, had the main battery bank replaced, along with a number of other things, ALL fixed 100% free. By the end of 3 years we figured everything that would ever go had been replaced and we basically had a brand new car after 4 years, and we were right. Nothing outside of tires and the small battery has gone out in over 10 years and 100K miles. Gets about 50 mpg driving open highway from Las Vegas to Los Angeles (can be done on a single tank of gas if you want to risk it) and about 43 mpg in city driving. It helps to have practice minimal gas consumption practices though. Paint now has an issue after 15 years, and the A/C is about to go, but overall, I would say we got our money's worth many times over.

It has been one of the best cars that I have owned.
The 2007 Toyota Prius base model is one of the best cars that I have ever owned. For a ten-year-old car, the gas mileage is still at the top compared to newer model cars (such as the 2016 Toyota Camry). Being in college almost 100 miles away from home, it's usually hard to move into the dorms without the use of a truck/SUV to haul your dorm room essentials. However, the Prius provides the ability to lay down the back seats in order to convert the small hatchback into a large "bed" of sorts in order to put as much in as you can, which makes it easy to fit everything you need to move into a dorm. Other awesome things this car has is storage space galore. In the hatchback, there is a compartment that can be used that is right above the spare tire, and in the front of the car, there is a drawer under the center console that can be used as well as a compartment under the radio and above the glove compartment. The touchscreen radio also acts as the controller of the A/C and heater as well as a graph that displays current mileage and trip mileage in five minute increments. Despite its low power output, the Prius is pretty versatile in different environments. Wet roads, muddy dirt roads, etc. are no match for this car.

BEST CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED
The build quality is great. I have never heard any strange noises or had any problems with this car other than routine maintenance. The car is super quiet. The radio and speakers sound great. The seat cushions have stood the test of time against young kids, too. I am extremely picky about seats and these are some of the most comfortable car seats I have ever used. The trunk area has ample room - the hatchback is a nice touch for a family that buys a lot of groceries. It has a locked gas cap which is nice to deter anyone from tampering with the gas tank. The console covers the whole center, but my tall husband says he has ample room even in the driver side. There are two "cigarette lighter" plugs which means you can plug in two items at once. The seat moves up and down manually, which I like because I think it is one less electronic item to have to worry about possibly failing in the future. It gets excellent gas mileage, around 44 mpg. The windows have a window lock on the driver side so that the driver can control whether the windows are up or down. The key fob battery is easy to install even for someone that doesn't know anything about cars. The seats in the back lay down for moving bigger furniture, etc.

They work with the buying service through my bank. They are pretty easy to purchase from, this car was my second purchase from this dealership. They have a large inventory of cars, so they've always had pretty much what I wanted without compromising on anything like colors or features or extra packages.
