It is also special because of the low or no tech. Very simple to drive. Low tech means less stuff to break down. Manual windows are safer in my mind.

My truck is more than 14 years old and it still looks like new. People cannot believe it is a 1999 model. I choose the Prerunner because it has the high clearance of a 4 wheel drive without the 4 wheel drive price. I found that I cannot drive low clearance cars anymore. The visibility is a huge plus for me. I feel safe in this truck. The gas mileage for a truck is ok. It gets about 24 miles per gallon. I have had no major repairs for 13 years. This year, I needed about $1500 worth of work done to replace the shocks and struts. I owned a Ford for 12 years. It was truly fix or repair daily. The Toyota is much more reliable. The quality is top notch. Original parts are still good.
