The 2013 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 SE is a great no-nonsense daily driver. It gets decent gas mileage (about 24 mpg city), and it looks nice. Unlike other cars that are on the lower end of the used car market, you get some luxury attributes that I am not used to. Heated seats, defrosting side mirrors, touchscreen radio with Bluetooth, and leather seats. It's a very comfortable car that I plan to drive for a long time.

The Volkswagen Jetta is a really cute and fun car to own—it's an easy drive, and it is the car I learned to drive in. It is comfortable and user friendly, and the interior is pretty modern for a 2003 model. It has pretty good gas mileage at about 23/mpg (which is great ,compared to the Jeep my fiancé used to own at 15/mpg). Since we drive within the city most of the time, gas lasts us a very long time—saving us money. Although we love our car, it has also had its fair share of issues. Coolant is a recurring issue. We had to replace the coolant daily until we replaced the radiator (which is pretty expensive), and even after replacing the radiator, we sometimes have to fill it with coolant (roughly monthly). After we did some repairs on it, it runs really smoothly—it's not a rough ride at all. It's easy to steer and neither the gas or break peddles are too touchy. It's compact, making it really easy to park (which is definitely a plus, since we go downtown often). It's going on 180,000 miles, and all things considered, it's been a pretty great ride so far.
