We bought a used Ford Edge as our first vehicle after moving out of New York City. We had a young baby and needed something with a good amount of space and that was safe. The Ford Edge met our needs in that it was dependable, roomy and had plenty of trunk space. The biggest downside to the Ford Edge is the gas mileage. We average approximately 15 miles to the gallon on a combination of city and expressway usage.
