This is by far my favorite vehicle I have ever owned.
I believe this vehicle is extremely well made. There is zero rust on the vehicle, although we did have to have the dealer remove the panel above the back wheels as the paint was bubbling. In looking at other Escapes, we have noticed this to be common. It has a solid body and does not drive like a truck, even though SUVs have somewhat of a truck base. It is a smooth ride for sure. The interior is leather and feels like a high-end vehicle. It has all of the features I would look for in a vehicle including CD player, Sync to my phone, dual climate control and heated seats. My family can get in and out of this vehicle easily. I love the fact that it still has the SUV style body and not the crossover body style. I have driven the car for about 25,000 miles with no issues mechanically whatsoever. It is roomy enough to take on vacations and yet functional enough for me to drive everyday. The remote start is definitely one of my favorite features and comes in very handy in north Iowa winters. The only thing I wish it did have was DVD/entertainment system for my children. I wish it had mechanically opening rear hatch just for ease when loading things in the back. I do wish that Ford would have kept this body style past 2012. I would own a newer version if they had. Even though there are a few things I would change, I will definitely go looking for another car exactly like this one.

This is one of the best cars I've ever owned. It drives well, quiet, and smoothly. It's very attractive and I get compliments and questions about it all the time. The gas mileage is average to pretty good for a car of its size. The seats are spacious and comfortable, all of the interior feels of very nice quality, and it's just a joy to be in. I'm very impressed by all of the features offered, and over my 40,000 miles already driven, all this abundant tech has held up great. I suppose many of these things come standard now, but are much appreciated. I don't know how I'll ever live now without the push to start, back up camera, the different buttons to open and shut the "trunk" door automatically, the fact I can unlock my car by just touching the handle, never taking the key out of my pocket, the list goes on! The stereo/entertainment/Bluetooth/navigation/hands free system looks great and is a godsend. Certain pairings with your smartphone could be more user friendly or intuitive, but it's better than most of the cars I've been in. I love it. Certain electronic features are great, maybe standard, but still implemented masterfully like having different user memory buttons for the 3 of us that use this car, remembering our different seat positions and other preferences. I can even change the color of the LED lighting all over (I think the memory user setting button even remembers this color preference.) All of this comfort and novelty comes at a price though, it's the most expensive vehicle I've ever owned. It feels worth it though, and like I got my money's worth. My mother is in a wheelchair and it fits comfortably in the back without putting the seats down, despite being a very compact SUV. Overall, it's a very reliable vehicle that's good for all of my family's needs, rides like a dream, and has so many features that I probably haven't even found half of them yet. A great buy for my family.
